Paint the waves, write our history...

Bundoran We have shared values and shared history, and more than anything else it seems to me, one of the things that helped to shape Reef Riders identity and to connect us with one another across our varied backgrounds and with our different personalities and perspectives is this shared sense of history... It’s about surfers coming together to share the dramatic, exciting, inspiring stories from our surfing addiction!

It is important to record those stories because they tell us what our identity is. They tell us what meaning those who have followed our way before us have found in SL free surfing, and more importantly they point us to the future. We can’t wait until those who know our rich stories are gone from among us. We can’t wait before we start recording those stories. It’s important to begin the task to tell the tales we know and the tales that we remember from others so that we can hand off to future generations, the vivid, varied, and rich tales of our free surfing heritage.

This blog is ours, Reef Riders. It will be what we want it to be.

Words :

"Reef Riders does have a long and interesting history, not many teams older than Reef riders, and none actively competing.  And from the beginning Reef Riders has always been one of the most competitive teams. I have always been a bit proud of fact that Reef Riders has never actively recruited riders from other teams. I believe Reef Riders have always surfed with a higher purpose. I like the way we have always quitely shown our presence, we don't have to tell anyone how good we are.  We show them."
